Patricia Ann
Calvert
Aug 20, 1952 — Feb 9, 2025
Trafford
Patricia Ann "Pat" Stokes Calvert entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday,February 9, 2025, at the age of 72, after fighting a brief battle with cancer. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church and a retiree of Thompson Tractor Company.
Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years, Malcolm Calvert; daughter, Jennifer Jones (Derek); her precious grandson, Dylan; her siblings, Mike Stokes (Mary), Linda Wood (Jimmy) and Susie Claburn (Bobby); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, James Benson Stokes Jr. and her mother, Terry Stokes.
As a faithful servant of the Lord since her teenage years, Pat's passion was for serving people and showing them a true example of Christian love, which she did by comforting them in their time of need, whether it was with food or by just simply being there. She held many titles in this life, but the roles that she was proudest of were those as Wife, Mother, and MawMaw. As her husband, Malcolm, was pastoring several churches in the area as a bi-vocational minister, Pat faithfully served right alongside him, and together they raised their daughter in a Christian home. We find hope and comfort in knowing Pat's life was full, and she is now free from sickness and pain, at last worshiping in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
The family invites everyone to attend the visitation at Messmer Goodwin Funeral home on Wednesday February 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to comfort one another and share fond memories of Pat. The following day, beginning at 2:00 p.m. we will be celebrating Pat's life and honoring her legacy with a funeral service in Messmer Goodwin's chapel. Pat will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing an opportunity for a final viewing before the funeral service begins. Immediately after the funeral service, we will travel in a formal procession to County Line Baptist Cemetery to conclude the funeral rites for Mrs. Calvert with a brief committal service, just before interment.
