Patricia A.
Latham
Jun 11, 1941 — Jun 4, 2022
Hayden
Patricia A. Latham, born June 11, 1941, received her robe and crown on Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was 80 years old. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Ruby Cummings, sister and brother-in-law, Betty Rose and Bobby Martin, and daughter-in-law, Debra "Debbie" Latham. She is survived by her children, Randy Latham, Vickie (Mike) Strong, grandchildren, Scott (Mandy) Latham, Justin (Rachel) Latham, Joseph (Holly) Cason, Sarah (Shane) Thomas, Annie (Nic) Strong-Hanock, and Jonathan (Chasilyn) Cason, and great grandchildren, Addyson Latham, Eli and Rhett Latham, and Covington and Holland Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pat was best known as Honey, or Mamaw. She enjoyed yard sales, Nutty Buddy bars, Hallmark Christmas movies, and going to eat at the Old Cook Stove. Mamaw loved to cook and bake pecan pies for her family and friends. She liked to listen to Sam Cooke, Johnny Horton, and Brooks and Dunn's "Boot Scootin Boogie." Mamaw could be found at home, reading a western book, completing a word search, or crocheting. Her laugh was contagious and she loved a hot cup of coffee, but she didn't love any earthly thing more than she loved her family. Mamaw's favorite thing to do was spend time with her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. After any visit she could be seen on the porch waving until each vehicle was out of sight. Holidays were special to Mamaw and she always wanted everyone together as often as possible.
The only thing Mamaw loved more than her family was her Savior. She had her name written in the Book of Life many years ago. It was important to Mamaw that anyone who knew her knew that she loved the Lord and that the Lord loved them. While she will be missed fiercely, her family and friends rest in the peace that they will one day be reunited with Mamaw.
A visitation for Mrs. Latham will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Hayden from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, with funeral service at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.
