Patricia G. Padgett of Gardendale, AL passed away on Jan. 22,2024. There will be a graveside service for Ms. Padgett Monday Jan. 29, 2024 at Remlap Methodist Cemetery, 11:00 AM.

Patricia was preceded  in death by her husband, Clifton Padgett; parents, David and Velva Sims; brother, David Sims, Michael Sims. She is survived by brother, John T. (Carolyn) Sims; sister, Sandra Pugh; many nieces and nephews.

Born to David and Velva Sims, Patricia grew up in the Chalkville and Pinson areas before marrying her husband, Clifton Padgett.

Patricia was quick-witted and funny. She enjoyed jokes and laughter. She was also a highly intelligently lady, and loved the challenge of crossword puzzles. Patricia always enjoyed dressing up and looking sharp, so she had a fondness for shopping, especially with her best friend, Sally. She also loved going to Big Lots and looking for a bargain. Along with Sally,  time spent with her dear friend, Mary Sue was precious to her. She was a wonderful cook, and family and friends enjoyed many meals at her table. Patricia was a special lady and will be missed by her family and friends.
