Obituary

Patsy "Granny" R. Lively, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Patsy was an independent and strong-willed woman who was damned determined to get things done.  She was open minded, but she was also open mouthed, meaning she would say whatever she thought.

Prior to the passing of her husband, Ronald, the two of them would enjoy fishing together.  Patsy also enjoyed her puzzle books.  She had two chihuahuas, Tini and Bear, that she treated just as her children before they crossed the rainbow bridge.

Patsy was known for her "Left-Handed" Biscuits.  She made these biscuits from scratch, and with her left hand, stating that anyone right-handed wouldn't be able to make them the same.

Patsy raised her three girls to be just like her.  Even if they have become half of what she was, they will be ok.  Granny believed that the sun rose and set with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lively; parents, Bill and Vernell Sharitt; brother, Charles Sharitt and sister, Patricia Sharitt.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Samuels (David), Charmen McAlpine (Mike) and Tina Washington (Danny); grandchildren, Courtney Pitts, Jordan Pitts, Cody Hobgood, William Samuels (Sarah), Rebecca Hobgood (Scott), Halie Hobgood, Laura Washington, Danielle Washington and Ashland McAlpine; and great-grandchildren, Karly, Becbec, Willow, Brantley, Bailey, Stella and Scarlett.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00am at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 9714 Thermal Rd Warrior, AL 35180.  Brother Buster Chamblee to officiate.
