Phillip Thomas Lee, age 71, of Odenville, Ala. passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Phillip graduated from Woodlawn High School and then the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He retired after a long career in publishing. Phillip loved basketball, snow skiing, traveling, and watching Alabama football. Most of all, he loved his family.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Patsy Lee. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia Armstrong Lee; their two children, Jasper and Zander Lee; siblings, Butch (Cathy) Lee and Patti (Steve) Knain; many nieces and nephews, as well as a large host of extended family members.

The celebration of Phillip's life will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, beginning at 2:30 p.m. For an hour prior to the commencement of celebration, there will be an hour-long visitation held in the funeral home's chapel. If you would like to send floral arrangements to Phillip's family, please consider smaller arrangements that will be easy for them to transport home after the celebration of life, as this service is for a cremation, and there will not be a grave to cover afterward with large floral stands.
