Oscar Randall "Randy" Jett, age 65, of Trafford, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Randy was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and husband. He attended, when health prevailed, Agape Baptist Church in Pinson, where he came to know his Savior and LORD. He was recently baptized at Agape, with his wife of almost 40 years, as a public declaration of his faith Christ Jesus. To his longtime CB friend, he was known as Beatle. Other than his faith and family, his passion was Alabama Crimson Tide football, and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Pepper Jett; mother, Carrie Louise Jett; granddaughter, Hazel Mae Jett; brother, Stanley Lafette Jett; and sister, Vickey Louise Jett. He is survived by his wife, Debra Ann Jett; sons, Dwight Allen Beard (Stacy), Kevin Anthony Parker (Katelyn), Oscar Randall Dean Jett (Tiffany), and James Leslie Jett (Mistie); daughters, Angela Dawn Cagle and Brandy Lanay Lankford (Jared); sister, Sarah Lou Brakefield; granddaughters, Bailey Jean Beard, Layla Graice Hunley, Lydia Marie Pool, Claudia Alexis Pool, Adalena Collette Calvin, Shyanne Elise Burnette, Makayla Faith Burnette, and Kayleigh Alia Lankford; grandsons, Brayden Pepper Jett, Kaiden Jackson Lankford, Kaisen Alexander Lankford, Aidan Matthew Johnson, Kyle Ray Cagle, and Oscar Ryelee Wayne Jett; and great-grandsons, Landyn Lane Pool and Austyn Lee Klinesmith. A visitation for Randy will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, from 11:30am- 1:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Warrior Cemetery.
