Brandon Taylor, age 39, of Gardendale, left this world too soon on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Brandon was a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School, class of 2000. He loved his family, friends and animals. His love of fishing was almost as great as his love of eating. But he really loved his Mom the most. He was mechanically inclined. He could fix cars, electronics, but he really just wanted to take things apart and never put them back together. Brandon had a kind heart, beautiful smile, and was great at making people laugh. Sadly Brandon lost his battle with addiction. He will be loved and missed forever. We pray he found peace at last. Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Taylor. He is survived by his parents, Gene and Teresa Kilgore of Sardis; sister, Carley Taylor of Sardis; grandparents, Jerry and Mary Taylor of Gardendale, Hazel Walters of Calera, Floyd and Jan Walters of Elkhart, IN, and Eddie and Brenda Kilgore of Cordova; niece and nephew, Ryan and Raelan Taylor; great "auntz" Judy Taylor and Pat Cleveland, both of Morris; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. A graveside service for Brandon will be held at Sardis Community Cemetery on Friday, August 6, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Steven Moro to officiate. Dinner will be hosted by friends and family at Sardis Community School following the graveside service.
