Ricky Lamar Brakefield, age 66, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Ruth Brakefield; brother, Tony Brakefield; brother-in-law, Ronnie Sloan; and sister-in-law, Myra Brakefield. He is survived by his daughters, Shannon Harness (Shane), Kim Addams (Michael), and Kerrie Crane; sons, Joshua Brakefield (Beth) and Brandon Brakefield (Jennifer); sisters, Janice Sloan, Rhonda Pierce (David), Debbie Bush (Kenneth), and Marsha Clayton; brother, Keith Brakefield; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; as well as a slew of nieces and nephews. A visitation for Mr. Brakefield will be held at Calcedonia Cemetery, Gardendale, on Sunday, April 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with graveside service to begin at 2:00 p.m.
