Mr. Roger "Muskie" L. Musgrove, age 77, a lifelong resident of Warrior, Alabama, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Pearlie Mae Ellison Musgrove. He is survived by his wife, Pat, and children, Tina Motes Brown (Allen), Shannon Taylor (Meridith), Keith Musgrove (Amy), and Christie Sloan (Kyle). Along with his grandchildren, Samuel and Olivia Brown, Caleb & Kaidin Lee, Brody and Brock Musgrove, Hunter and Hannah Harper, Wyatt Sloan, and Josie and Jesse Taylor. He leaves behind his siblings, sister Kathy Smith (Charlie), and brothers, Jerry Musgrove (Bonnie) and Terry Musgrove. He also leaves behind a host of friends. Mr. Musgrove was a graduate of Warrior High School and was a standout running back for the Indians. He had a lifelong love of football. He served in the Army for 4 years and the Army National Guard for 20 years. Roger worked at Stewart Machine for over 20 years. He will be especially remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Roger loved people and had a deep compassion to help those in need. He will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 25 with visitation at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home from 10:00-11:30 with the funeral beginning at 11:30 in the chapel.
