Sandra Kate McGuffie Damico, age 65, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Macklin McGuffie; mother, Gladys Elovean McClendon Pool; husband, Duke Hazelrig Sr.; husband Dennis Alix Damico; brothers, Eric Wayne and Oscar Leon McGuffie; sisters, Wilma Diane Head and Erica Elaine Rasco; and stepson, Dennis Alix Damico Jr. She is survived by Amanda Pierce (Wayne); sons, Duke Hazelrig (Bridget) and Bryan Hazelrig (Amber Hollis); and grandchildren Lexi, Farrah, Celeste, Laura, Robin, Kate, Bryson, Haley, Hunter, and Hannah. A visitation for Mrs. Damico will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1, from 12:00pm-2:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Ragland, Alabama.
