Shirley Ann Lauderdale, age 83, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Shirley loved her family, and loved singing Gospel music. Her family would like to thank Southeast Hospice for their excellent care and love shown to our mother. There are not enough words to express our thanks to Sherry Motes. Sherry has been a caregiver to our Mom for almost 3 years. Sherry went above and beyond to care for Mother, and we are eternally grateful. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Lauderdale; father, John Dewey "Bun" Rock; mother, Adria Simmons; granddaughter, Whitney Bradford; daughter-in-law, Regenia Lauderdale; brother, John Dewey Rock; sisters, Geneva Scarbrough, Ruby McCormick, Josephine Bibb, Marie Hamilton, Faye Norwood, and Jane Little. She is survived by her sons, Alan Lauderdale and Michael (Pam) Lauderdale; daughter, June (Kelly) Bradford; grandchildren, Heath (Sarah) Lauderdale, Matthew (Mary) Lauderdale, Krista (Kevin) Yates, John Michael (Madison) Lauderdale, and Dylan (Chloe) Bradford; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Audrey, Colton, Alexis, Ayden, and Adalyn Lauderdale and Sophie Kate and Tyde Yates; and siblings, Carol Garrard, Diane McAlpine and Terry Rock. A graveside service for Mrs. Lauderdale will be held at Elvester Cemetery on Saturday, August 7, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
