Syble Sharp, age 96, of Warrior, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers Milton Blalock; husband, Buren Thomas Sharp; son, Roger Milton Blalock; daughter, Janice Delois York; mother, Bertha Nancy Crawford; and father, Albert Crawford. She is survived by her sons, Larry Blalock (Jeanette) and Tom Sharp (Jerry Bivens) ; son-in-law, David York; daughters, Joan Bradford (Jimmy) and Sue Winnett (Horace); grandchildren, Mark Blalock (Angelia), Robin Corbin (Brandon), Craig York (Wendy Lynch), Brent Winnett, and Andrea Clough (Jonathan); 9 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and her best friend, Ruth Brown. A visitation for Mrs. Sharp will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, from 12:00pm- 2:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Gardendale.
