Tamela Fernandes, age 51, of Pinson, Alabama, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020. Tamela was a loving mother and MiMi. She took in anyone and everyone who needed a home, always with a genuinely loving heart. She could light up a room with her personality, smile and contagious laughter. Tamela loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Her family considered her the glue that held them together, and their ray of sunshine. She could sing like an angel. Tamela will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Dickinson (Mark); and father, Jimmy Day (Wanda) husband, Jack Fernandes; daughters, Ady Grace Fernandes, Courtney (Zack) Foster, Lacey (Chase) Bentley, and Tiffany Fernandes; son, Dustin Fernandes; grandchildren, Cayden, Brody, Kohen, Nevaeh, Jaylen, Rhyann, Macie, Brooklyn, Calye, Dax, Ashton, Camden, Stella; brothers, Darrell (Michelle) Day and Justin Day; nieces and  nephews, Taylor, Jessie, Kallie, Crimson, Aarron, Dallas and Trinity;  two aunts and four cousins. A visitation for Tamela will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Stewart's Chapel Cemetery.
