Thomas Kenneth Ward passed away after a short battle with lung cancer on Saturday, June 13, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Boone Ward; stepdaughter, Tamara Cusmariu (Dr. Jeff Cusmariu) of Birmingham; stepsons, Scott Pinson (Rayna) of California, Max Smith (Nancy) of Mississippi, and Chris Smith (Kelley) of Texas; step grandchildren, Ben & Zach Cusmariu, Evaleigh & Ashlynne Pinson, Shawn Smith, Christopher Smith, Johanna & Crystell Smith; brother, Herman L. (Polly) Ward; sister, Pat Ward (Ed) Key; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lora & Mell Ward.  Tommy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1970. He was a wonderful husband who will be missed by many, especially his wife. He was a fun, loving, caring man, whose closest companion was his little dog, Max, who will also miss him terribly.
