Troy James Mahaffey, "TJ", age 88, of Warrior, Al, peacefully passed away Monday, April 3, 2023. TJ was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Addie Mahaffey; son, Troy James Mahaffey "Chuck"; daughters, Patsy Hill, and Bobbi McAllister; grandsons, Dusty Mahaffey, and Little Ricky Mahaffey; granddaughter, April Mahaffey; great-great-great-granddaughter, Hattie Philpot; brothers, Arlie, Zelma, and Terry Mahaffey; sister, Elizabeth Tucker, parents, Archie and Angel Mahaffey.

He is survived by his children, Rocky Mahaffey, Ricky Mahaffey, Vickie Ellison (Dannie), Freida Reid, and Bo Fuller (Pat); one he called his adoptive daughter, Barbara Goodwin; a host of 17 grandkids, 39 great-grandkids, and 14 great-great-grandkids, five generations of a beautiful family generations. He was a great son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He grew up in Warrior. He was a pipe fitter by trade until he retired. He loved to fish at the local river spots, and he had a passion for Alabama football, and was always a fan of a good hat. TJ's favorite holiday was Christmas, in fact he loved it so much the past few years he kept his tree up all year around just because he loved looking at it decorated. He had a heart for his family and his precious wife. He would do anything for any of his loved ones, and had a handshake or a hug for everyone who came around him. We know he probably is in a rocking chair with Mawmaw by his side, surrounded by those who have gone before us. We will honor his legacy by loving those around us, cheering on the Tide,
