Mr. Victor Hinkle, age 64, of Gardendale, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Avery Hinkle. He is survived by his sons, Johnny (Jami) Hinkle and Waylon (Christina) Hinkle; grandchildren, Ethan, Amelia, and Riley Hinkle; mother, Madge Coffey; brothers, Steve Lyles, and Dana Lyles; sisters, Kim Fernandez and Kristy Dionne; several nieces and nephews; other beloved relatives and friends. A visitation with family will be held in the chapel from 4:00-5:00 p.m.at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Friday, August 25, 2023. After visitation, a funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m.

Always enjoying laughter and a good time, Victor will be remembered for his wit and humor, and ability to make others chuckle and smile, and he embraced amusement and merriment with gusto.. He enjoyed being the "good time" around everyone, and he had a laughter that could fill the room.

Victor was a simple man that enjoyed the simplistic pleasures life could offer. He loved playing guitar, watching and talking about Alabama football, watching anything with John Wayne in it, and listening to some old school country, especially Waylon Jennings or Johnny Cash.

One of Victor's kindest traits was his great big, huge heart. He would do anything for others. He would give without question, even if it cost him everything he had. He was truly generous and charitable.
