William W. Horsley, age 69 of Hayden, passed peacefully away at his home in Hayden, January 29, 2024. Services will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Hayden, Alabama. Visitation will be Thursday,February 1 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and the funeral service will begin at noon, with Brother Chris West officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rommie Sue Horsley. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Horsley; son, Joseph (Jayci) Horsley; daughter, Brittani (David) Manning; grandchildren, Nicholas Horsley, Payton Manning, Eli Manning; sisters, Susan Gibson, Sherry Sears, Cindy (James Phares) Styles; brothers, Robert Horsley; Ronald (Angie) Horsley,  host of nieces and nephews.

William was a hard working man. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as a boiler technician on the U.S.S. Suribachi. After the military, he spent a number of years working for U.A.B.

Mr. Horsley was a godly example of a Christian father, grandfather, and husband, loving his family and the Lord above all else. He loved his grandsons and playing with them brought great joy and happiness.  He was a dedicated, faithful, and  serving member at Gethsemane Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church.
