Mr. William R. Melvin, age 84 of Pinson, was called to his eternal rest, Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Melvin; father and mother, Percy and Ona Melvin; brothers, Revis, Harles, and Arzell Melvin; Sister, Argie Hicks; grandson, Blake Funderburg. He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Rick) Funderburg; granddaugter Beth (Chase) Ramsey; great-granddaughter, Elliott Jane Funderburg; great-grandson, Colton Ramsey; sister, Margie Melvin; brother, Bill Melvin. William Melvin was a wonderfully talented mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. His greatest love was his family, and especially spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. They brought him such joy. He will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 2nd, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery (Thermal Road, Warrior, AL).
