William Marion "Billy" Rhodes, age 83, of Mount Olive, Alabama, passed to his eternal home Wednesday, November 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Estelle Rhodes. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rhodes; daughters, Tena Fleming, Renee (Clark) Dickinson, Christi (Keith) Martin; grandsons, Ross and Grant; other beloved family and friends. Billy spent many years in service to his community of Mount Olive, Alabama. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive and McCarty Farrar Number 8 F. & A. M. Lodge. Billy was a loving and supportive father and grandfather. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Saturday, November 20 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it was his desire that donations be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
