William Eugene Yarbrough, age 68, of Hayden, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. William was a strong man and provider. He was a protector of his family. He could fix anything. His proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. He loved his dog, Jack, just like his own child. He loved the lake and fishing. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan, but couldn't watch the game unless they were winning! He had the best laugh, and loved to pick on anyone. He would always take up for the weak, and couldn't stand a bully. He will be greatly missed. William was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Helen Kelly Yarbrough. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Robertson Yarbrough; sons, Patrick O'Neil Yessick and Eric Jason Yarbrough; daughter, Jennifer LeAnne Tumblin; son-in-law, Timothy Alan Tumblin; granddaughters, Beth Samples (Justin) and Bekah Tumblin; great-grandson, Elijah Samples; siblings, James Yarbrough (Penny) and Phyllis Stipes (Bobby); as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation for Mr. Yarbrough will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, May 10, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 3:30 p.m. Interment to follow at New Bethel Cemetery.
