Mr. Willie Edward Painter, Jr. (Buddy), passed peacefully to his eternal rest Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Willie, Sr., and Nola Painter; son, Wade Painter; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Young; children, Vicki (Greg) Whitley, Eddie (Liz) Painter, Sharon Tidwell; Dreama (Mike) Calhoun; grandchildren, Jonathan (Elizabeth) Painter, Tyler (Rachelle) Whitley, Neil (Courtney) Kelley, Kyle (Haley) Whitley, Katherine Whitley, Brittany Painter, Cameron Calhoun, Candance Bittle, Stevie Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Emily and Kailey Painter, Rosalee Kelley, Dallas Michael Ware. Buddy was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and proud of his military service. He loved his four-legged family, especially his little dog. Buddy enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, working on his cars, and taking care of his yard. He was always willing to help anyone who needed him. He will be sorely missed by his loved ones. A graveside service will be held at Rideout's Forest Crest Cemetery, Birmingham, Alabama, on Monday, April 11, 2022, beginning at 11:15 a.m. Military honors will be observed.
