Yvonne Bowman Putman, age 79, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord. Loyal, faithful and beloved mother that was the absolute rock of her family. She adored her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Putman; father, Floyd Bowman; mother, Pauline McCurry Bowman; and sister, Patricia Landreth (Herbert). She is survived by her son, Shawn Putman (Cheryl); daughter, Shannon Contorupis (Andrew); sister, Peggy Black (David); brother, Tim Bowman (Donna); granddaughters, Lara Putman Green (Josh) and Kaytlyn Putman Hays; great-granddaughters, Cheyenne Talley and Emerleigh Hays; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family who cherished her. A visitation for Mrs. Putman will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Monday, January 6, from 5:00pm- 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Warrior Memorial Gardens.
