Mrs. Zelda Trujillo, age 91, passed peacefully away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Exie Rock; husband, Abe Trujillo; daughter, Maria Trujillo Hicks; brothers, Claud LaBore, Johnny Rock, Floyd Rock, Dale Rock; sisters, Phyllis Rock Arnold, Vivian Rock. She is survived by her daughter, Mela (Matt) Hodge; sons, Genaro (Brenda) Trujillo; Michael Trujillo; grandchildren: Shelley Laney, Shannon Long, Jessica Brown, Emily Bailey, Kiera Trujillo, Wesley Trujillo, David Moore, Cliff Moore; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Nedra LIlly, Gail Travis, and a host of nieces and nephews. Zelda was a very talented seamstress and avid quilt-maker. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles in her spare time. Zelda was a friendly and outgoing person. She loved being happy, enjoying laughing and smiling, and giving laughter to others. She was daring and adventurous, and loved traveling, never missing an opportunity for something different. She was spunky and sassy, but ever gracious and loving. Her kindness always shined through her caring and loving spirit for her family and friends. She was a most beautiful example of a strong, confident, but lovely southern lady. The family will have visitation Tuesday, May 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the chapel Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Haig Rogers Cemetery in Morris, Alabama.
